Dinner and a Movie | Play Like a Local

Dinner and a Movie Asheville NC

Whether you are a business person traveling alone, a couple on a romantic getaway, or an entire family on vacation, a movie is always an excellent choice. Allow us to introduce our 3 favorite movie houses and surrounding eateries.

1. Regal Biltmore Grande: A Local Favorite for Blockbuster Films.

The Regal Biltmore Grande Stadium 15 is located in a planned community called Biltmore Park Town Square. This vibrant town center, located in South Asheville, was designed to be reminiscent of the Main Streets of the past. It is totally self-contained.

BILTMORE PARK IN AUTUMN (GPS Address 292 Thetford Street Asheville, NC 28803) | (844) 462-7342

Biltmore Park offers easy and free parking. There are lots of specialty shops and an array of excellent places to eat all in one walkable area. What is not to love? We suggest that you allow yourself time before or after the show to explore this lovely community.

2. The Fine Arts Theatre

The Fine Arts Theatre is downtown's only cinema dedicated to first-run and independent films. The theater offers fine films not necessarily shown in the larger commercial theaters and is located in a wonderfully renovated art deco movie house.

THE FINE ARTS THEATRE (GPS Address 36 Biltmore Avenue, Asheville, NC 28801) | (828) 253-0214

If you're a fan of independent films and are tired of the commercial hype of big budget studio films, then sit back, relax and enjoy something different at The Fine Arts Theatre in downtown Asheville. Find Restaurants Near The Fine Arts Theatre.

3. Grail Moviehouse | Asheville's Alternative Cinema

The Grail Moviehouse is an independent, locally owned theater, screening art and independent films, locally produced content, classics, and a regular rotation of cinematic surprises. This is a funky movie house with mis-matched seating, LOVE!

THE GRAIL MOVIEHOUSE (GPS Address 45 South French Broad Avenue, Asheville, NC 28801) | (828) 239-9392

"What an amazing find this place was. It isn't easy to find, but it's locally owned, serves beer, and has a mix of first run movies and older classics. Love this place!"
